Holika Holika: Jewel-Light Waterproof Eyeliner #19 Emerald Green

A lovely little parcel from Korea arrived this morning, and inside...? Holika Holika! This is my introduction into the kawaii world of Korean cosmetics. Holika Holika looks at its line of makeup and skincare as a form of magic that helps beauty lovers transform into more enchanting versions of themselves. Somewhat similar to the American brand Lime Crime, they both make cute looking products inspired by magic and fairy tales. Holika are more focused on magic and many of their products feature witches and black cats (who doesn't love a good beauty spell) . Looking at the array of rainbow coloured liners gave me nostalgia. At 14 many of my experimental looks were fluorescent and colourful, my favourite was acid green eyeshadow with red liner and mascara (don't ask i looked like a freaking chameleon but i thought it was cool at the time).

I couldn't resist this turquoise shade (for some reason called emerald green) as it is identical in colour to my first ever liquid eyeliner (Stargazer in Turqoise). I was stunned by the staying power of this wonder liner, I wore it to work and it still looked freshly applied after 8 hours of bank holiday madness. The gel texture allows it to glide on effortlessly and it is incredibly vibrant without any need for re application.

The one negative i have is that i assumed the liner would be retractable as it is contained in a plastic casing, i was actually convinced part of the inner casing was missing because i couldn't get it to retract. After googling the product it seems you can sharpen the product just like a wooden pencil, this literally felt like i was committing some kind of sin but it did indeed work.

The liner is amazing quality for £3, lasts all day and is waterproof too, more so than most other liners claiming to be waterproof. I will be sure to purchase some more colours and perhaps some of the pearlescent shades too. I am looking forward to trying out more of the Holika Holika range as well as other Korean brands i have mentioned in the past. In particular the Panda's Dream Face Cream by Tony Moly (i received the hand cream sample with the liner)

For anyone interested in purchasing Korean Cosmetics i recommend the Ebay seller beautynetkorea, everything i have ordered arrives within 2 weeks and they always throw in some samples too (even with low cost purchases).

Skulls and Kisses to you all
Luna x
